The Mississippi Makers' Challenge is a statewide competition to spotlight iconic and innovative products manufactured across our state. Entries move from a public nomination and voting phase into a bracket-style tournament to determine the winner.

2025 Winner

Nissan Frontier - Canton, Mississippi

The 2025 Nissan Frontier, manufactured in Canton, captured the title after a record round of voting. Final Round of Four competitors included Lockheed Martin's C-130J Hercules (Meridian), PACCAR's MX-11 Diesel Engine (Columbus), and Thermo-Kool's walk-in coolers and freezers (Laurel).

2025 cycle highlights: 70 products nominated and 92,395 votes cast statewide.

How It Works

Nominations, voting, and brackets

  • Two-week nomination window for products made in Mississippi.
  • Public voting narrows the field to the Top 16.
  • Three-round bracket determines finalists and the champion.
