The MSBA Foundation is accepting résumés for a Program Director to lead employer engagement for the Mississippi Recovery Friendly Workplace Coalition. The Program Director helps employers adopt recovery friendly practices, guides them through the Coalition’s designation process, and builds partnerships that connect workplaces with workforce and community resources.

This role serves employers across Mississippi and provides focused support to the Recovery to Work pilot in Jones, Wayne, Greene, and George counties. Statewide travel is required.

What the Program Director will do

  • Build relationships with employers, chambers, workforce partners, community colleges, and recovery organizations across the state.
  • Guide employers through assessments, implementation plans, technical assistance, and Recovery Friendly Workplace designation.
  • Help employers strengthen policies and practices related to employee support, supervisor training, retention, and workplace safety.
  • Coordinate with the Recovery Employment Navigator to identify employers with hiring opportunities for qualified pilot participants.
  • Lead employer education and maintain records of outreach, services, and program outcomes.

Qualifications

Applicants should have experience in employer engagement, workforce development, human resources, occupational health, recovery friendly workplace programs, or a related field. Strong communication, partnership development, project management, and recordkeeping skills are required.

Experience with manufacturing or other safety sensitive workplaces, Mississippi workforce and behavioral health resources, and grant funded programs is preferred.
